The Little Mermaid

Last week, our 1st and 2nd of Primary students had a fun time watching a play in English called The Little Mermaid, performed by Blue Mango Theatre.
Before watching the play, the pupils learnt the new vocabulary and sang the different songs. A couple students were chosen from the audience to help take part also.

They had a great time and really understood the play well. Everybody had a very happy morning watching The Little Mermaid and practicing English.

Our vegetable garden

Berta said: “Welcome to our vegetable garden. There is a wooden fence and a little gate.
We are learning new vocabulary about bugs and plants. You can see us practicing.”

Look at Laia. She’s next to the fence. We don’t have a greenhouse but we have a shed. Can you see it? It is where we keep the garden tools and the wheelbarrow. Can you see other students? They are taking photos.

Carla is standing next to the onions. She is showing us the watering system.  You can also water a plant using a watering can.

Arnau is standing between a big tree and a table. He is telling us that there was a scarecrow in our vegetable garden but it broke.

Look at Pau, he is happy, he's showing “thumbs up!”

There are many worms but we cannot see them, they move through the soil, but we can see the ants.
Lluís asked:”What other bugs can you see in the vegetable garden?”

Halloween Garlands

Last week students from 3rd of Primary started working on vocabulary about Halloween.

After Meeting the black Mrs. Witch, the green Mr. Vampire, the white skeletons, the funny pumpkins and much more they prepared a garland using the vocabulary they learnt.

At the end of the session, in pairs and back to back, they had to ask questions in order to guess their words written on the garland.

We had fun speaking in English!
