SHORT STORY

Last Monday, some of our 5th of primary students had an English lesson outside the classroom, on the terrace.

The activity consisted of writing a short story using the past tense in groups. They had to invent the name of four characters to develop it. Once they wrote it, they sat all together to listen to their classmates' stories.

It was a very good session and they had the opportunity to develop their activity in a different context.

WRITING A SECRET MESSAGE

This week 3rd of primary students have been working on the project they chose with their teachers. Ponent and Mestrak 'Egypt', and Tramuntana 'a Timeline'. It is for this reason that in English they have carried out a special activity.

With a white paper and a wet teabag they have created an ancient parchment to write a secret message on it using the symbols of the Egyptian or the ancient alphabet.

Here you have some of the pictures of the activity,

UK PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM

This week 4th of primary students have been working on the project they chose with their teachers: 'Conviure a Catalunya'. It is for this reason that in English they have been dealing with the UK Parliamentary System.

In groups, the have been searching for information in the library with the ipads to answer some questions about Scotland, Northern Ireland, UK and Wales' Parliaments.

Next week, they are going to interchange some information with the other groups outside on the terrace.

Here you have some photos of the activity. They have learnt a lot!

1st Primary: The Toy Cupboard

Right before the Easter holidays, our 1st level pupils were studying at unit called 'The Toy Cupboard'.

So to make it more interesting and fun, the students got to make their very own toy cupboard!

They made it all out of paper and a little bit of tissue paper for the door handle!

Below you can see a few of them, and I'm sure you'll agree how great they look!

2nd Primary: My Parrot

Just before the Easter holidays, our 2nd level students were studying the topic 'at the wildlife park'; the wild animals that could be there, what actions the can and can't do, and also the different parts of an animal's body, in particular the bird.

So to put all this new information into good use, our pupils learned how to draw a parrot stage by stage, each creating their own unique bird, and then, by themselves wrote a little description of their parrot.

We were SO impressed by their drawing skills, and even further by their writing skills in English, that we just had to share some of them with you!

The photos below are taken from St. Mateu class. We hope you enjoy them!
