TOUCHING, HEARING, SMELLING AND TASTING

In this unit our 6th of primary students are working on senses. They have been experiencing how important our senses are while playing a game.

With their eyes blindfolded, they had to discover an object, substance or sound by touching, hearing, smelling and tasting it. When they guessed it, they had to make a sentence using: 'It feels/sounds/smells/tastes like...'

COME AND PLAY!

In this unit 2nd of primary students are learning some vocabulary about toys. Apart from that, they have been working on a story: Let's play!

This story contains a very nice rhyme that they have been repeating all together.

2nd Primary: Skipping

After learning a very beautiful chant that says:

"I like skipping,

1, 2, 3!

I want Lucy 

In with me!

Ride a scooter, 

ride a train, 

ride a bike,

Now spell your name!

1, 2, 3!"

Our 2nd of primary students went to the garden to practice how to spell their names whilst skipping.

1st Primary: My Family

Recently our 1st of primary pupils have been hard at work learning all about their families in English, as well as looking at some famous paintings of different types of families.

They then went on to design their own photo frame and draw their families inside, and then explained who was in their families!

PORTRAITS

Last week our 3rd of primary students drew a couple of portraits with a brief description of them.

Before drawing them, they worked on popular artistic portraits. They learnt some specific vocabulary to talk about art, together with useful vocabulary to describe people physically and their personalities.

ROOMS IN ART

This week our 2nd of primary students have been working on art in English. Taking advantage of all the vocabulary learnt in Unit 2 about furniture, they have been naming some objects from some famous portraits.

Later, they made a collage. They have created their own artistic room with some images from a magazine.

Frankenstein

Last Friday students from 5th and 6th level went to the dining room to see a play in English. It was the story of Frankenstein and we enjoyed a lot watching it. Even some students took part on it and went up the stage wearing disguises as if they were actors and actresses.
In the classroom we are working on the story: reading a text, listening to songs, drawing a comic, playing games...
It's fun to learn!
