TARZAN

Two weeks ago our 3rd and 4th of primary students watched a theatre play, Tarzan.

Tarzan lives in the jungle in Africa. He has a lot of friends. His best friend is a monkey called Cheetah. Tarzan likes living in the jungle. He is very happy. Jane is a photographer. She lives in London but today she is in the jungle. She wants to take photographs of monkeys. Jane is travelling with a guide called Clayton. He is not a nice person. He is a hunter. He is also an expert on surviving in the jungle. Jane doesn’t know that Clayton’s favourite food is monkey!
One day Tarzan and Jane meet in the jungle. Tarzan likes Jane and Jane likes Tarzan. But Jane doesn’t like Tarzan’s smell! Tarzan never washes his body, cleans his teeth or combs his hair! So, Tarzan needs help from his animal friends. He needs to learn about personal hygiene. The elephant teaches him to wash his body. The crocodile teaches him to clean his teeth. The lion teaches him to comb his hair. Meanwhile, someone needs to teach Clayton that killing animals for fun is not nice!

After watching the play they created a comic explaining the story with some pictures and English sentences. Here you have some of them.

THE GOONIES

This week our 6th of primary students watched 'The Goonies'. It is a 1985 American adventure-comedy film directed by Richard Donner.

The Goonies are a crazy bunch of misfit kids whose only hope of saving their neighbourhood from greedy developers who want to use the area to build a new golf course, is to find the lost treasure of a 17th Century pirate.

After watching the film, next week, they are going to answer some questions about it.
