Rubrics in the English Classroom
At the end of the term students took part into their own learning process and started with a self-evaluation task.
A rubric is what we use to do so. In the class we talked about it and we created our own rubric to evaluate our Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing and Attitude.
After talking together about the process, we created a new rubric for all and students had to decide if they situate themselves into the High, Superior, Basic or Low level.
This was the result:
We had fun creating the process together and we learnt a lot about our learning process.

SPORTS
These days our 3rd of primary students are learning vocabulary about sports related with people's likes and dislikes.
Last week, they drew a friend thinking of different sports he/she likes or dislikes. Once they drew the picture, they wrote a brief text practising the structures: 'She/he likes...', 'She/he doesn't like...'.
Here you have some of them.

TOUCHING, HEARING, SMELLING AND TASTING
In this unit our 6th of primary students are working on senses. They have been experiencing how important our senses are while playing a game.
With their eyes blindfolded, they had to discover an object, substance or sound by touching, hearing, smelling and tasting it. When they guessed it, they had to make a sentence using: 'It feels/sounds/smells/tastes like...'
They enjoyed a lot, here you have some photos of the activity.

2nd Primary: Skipping
After learning a very beautiful chant that says:
"I like skipping,
1, 2, 3!
I want Lucy
In with me!
Ride a scooter,
ride a train,
ride a bike,
Now spell your name!
L-U-C-Y
Goodbye Lucy,
Wave at me!
Goodbye Lucy,
1, 2, 3!"
Our 2nd of primary students went to the garden to practice how to spell their names whilst skipping.
